Audiences have always shown great interest in recordings of Jana's songs, and over the years she has released a variety of material on cassette and Compact disc...
Mad Waltzing was Jana's first recording to be released in the U.K. Privately produced and recorded in Mono, it provides an interesting look at early arrangements of songs which would eventually appear on her CD Laughing in Crime.
Twist and Turn was Jana's second privately produced recording to be released in the U.K. The cassette was released in 1989 in response to demand for more recordings from those who had previously bought Mad Waltzing. This collection is interesting in that it features musicians from Jana's US bands Aaahs and The Phantoms, as well as British musicians. It also features Jana's only commercially available recorded instrumental, The Unicorn Tapestries.
Laughing in Crime is Jana's first release on CD. It was released in 1996 on Cycle Records and launched at the Twelve Bar Club in London to a capacity crowd. Comprising twelve original songs, the album features Jana on vocals, guitar, dulcimer and piano, backed by a band of top session musicians.
